Media mentions

Do you have a list of things you would like to do, tasks that you intend to get to one day when you have some time? Well I have finally done one of the things on my very long Red Delicious list...

The bags, and myself, have been mentioned in various forms of media over the years, which is wonderful given that I've done very little to attract such attention (I refer you back to the 'things to do' list above).

And I hang my head in shame at that, because I know exactly how to go about attracting media attention after working in that world, writing and receiving bazillions of press releases, for quite a number of years .

But the upside is that if people care enough to mention Red Delicious bags in their media outlet, then they really must think them worth a mention. Smashing!

So I've put a sampling of some of those media mentions, in news outlets, blogs and online venues, on the Red Delicious website for you to see. Included are links to the full mention so you can read for yourselves exactly what others are saying about my work.

Check out the Media Mentions page here, and I'll keep a permanent link on the website News page which, I am optimistic enough to say, will be updated when there's something good to add.

Laptop bags - keep the ideas coming

I've had a great response to my request for your input on the ideal Red Delicious laptop bag. You've given me some wonderful opinions, desires and basic information which will be invaluable as I work on this design.

Please keep your ideas coming - the details of what information I need are in my last blog post. I'll be announcing the gift certificate winner in a few weeks' time.

The laptop bag design is something I'll be working on over the next few months. As I enter my most busy period, with all the lovely tourists currently visiting my booth at Pike Place Market and the holiday shopping season just around the corner, it's hard to spend much time on product development.

What I plan to do is mull over my ideas for a while - make some sketches and figure out some of the technicalities - then I plan get down to prototyping in the quiet winter months. I'll update on the process here.
