The question is, how big should laptop bags be and what features should they include? This, dear Red Delicious fans, is where I turn to you.
I'd like to know the basics, such as just how big is *your* laptop (all three dimensions is useful). And I'd love to hear the details of what your ideal laptop bag would include:
- Just a sleeve, or a bag which can accommodate other stuff?
- Adjustable messenger strap or shoulder straps?
- Pockets inside or outside?
- What size pockets - to accommodate power strips, papers, your iPhone, sandwiches?
- Thick padding in case it's dropped from a height, making the bag wide?
- Or thin padding, to guard against light knocks and scratches, making the bag sleek?
All suggestions are welcome. I'm not above bribery either! The best laptop bag wish-list I receive will win a gift certificate for $80 to spend on the website. Tell your friends and ask them to contribute too.
If you have suggestions, please comment here or email them to info@reddeliciousseattle.com. I'll be working on this design through the summer and will update here as I go along.

I actually carry a Zosephine diaper bag as a laptop bag, just because I loved the look! It works great.
It has to be able to keep my laptop from damage. A bag that carries a few other small items is my preference over a sleeve. I like most of the pockets on the inside of my bag and one on the outside for things that need grabbing quickly,
like my lunch or cell phone.
The padding is fine done thinly.
Thanks, Cindi

If I was the queen of the world, or at least the queen of laptop bags, the perfect bag would be the following:
Large enough to hold my 13.5" x 9.5" x 1.5" laptop
Adjustable messenger strap
Pockets inside or outside simply to hold a few CDs, a small notebook+pen, and the power cord
Thin padding
This in itself isn't too difficult to find in a laptop bag. However, what I absolutely cannot find is a fun, feminine, flirty way of hauling my not-so-attractively-shaped laptop all over the place. I'm so tired of black, boring, bulgy cases. Help!
My laptop is 14.5"x11"x1.5"
I would definitely want a bag that can also accomodate other stuff, as opposed to just a sleeve. I would want an adjustable messenger strap. Pockets both inside and outside are convenient. Maybe a large slightly flat pocket over the flap (to hold papers, cd's etc.) and some smaller, wider pockets inside for a mouse, power cord etc.
I would want more than just thin padding. Maybe something medium, as I wouldn't want it too thick either. About 1/2" of padding should do.
I would also want great fabric. I'm thinking polka dots, stripes etc. I'm definitely a pink girl!

My laptop measures up as:
1.54" Height x 14.2" Width x 10.4" Depth
I'd love a sleeve type holder, one that is sleek, but thick enough to prevent it being scratched. One cool thing would be to have a 'hidden' pocket in the sleeve to hide a memory stick or maybe even a cd. It would be really cool to integrate it into the design so that you would not notice it was there.
I just like chucking it into my backpack rather than having a specific laptop bag, as I think in terms of security, it is much less obvious to hide it in a normal bag than have an obvious laptop bag.
Hope that helps! :)
My perfect laptop bag would have to be bright and colorful, not boring in style. Preferably in a fashionable fun fabric. I would prefer not to have a flap. With a zipper at the top or all around on 3 sides so that it can be opened up and used on lap without taking laptop out of the bag if on a plane, train, or in a car.
I would prefer a bag over having just a sleeve. With an adjustable padded strap.
Pockets to carry mouse, charger, flash drive, extra battery, notebook and pen.
A thick foam padding on the narrow bottom edge so if the bag is standing upright, the laptop is still cushioned and protected. And other padding as well so if the bag is laying down flat it is protected.
My lap top measures 12.5" x 10.5" x 1.5"
Thanks for the chance to win.
