Another action-packed day of learning, networking and, finally, fun at the closing evening soiree. BizJam was well worth the fee and time invested. Next year's event is already looking like a highlight of the calendar.
My head has been spinning with all the ideas and possibilities, until 9am today when it was back to reality at the Pike Place Market roll call: business as usual.
But I found time to jot down a few notes about how to turn those possibilities into reality. First on the list, as it's the easiest, will be a revamp of some of the Red Delicious website content.
In a former life I was a writer and editor for many years, and yet it's tremendously challenging to write well about my own business and products: a case of being too close to the nitty gritty. Dropping the 'old media' style in which I was trained and worked seems to be the answer.
So a key objective in the revamp is to be more natural, to say what I really mean and simply be myself. I'm passionate about Red Delicious, so it shouldn't be too hard. We'll all see soon!
