I said there would be a whole heap of bags, and I've been busy making them. This is the result of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the studio:
There is more - I sewed for about four hours on Thursday too. And I've brought out some bags I put into storage at the end of last summer. Not to mention all the previously made inventory. The more the merrier when going into a show of this scale.
Thank goodness I splashed out on a hand cart last year - made it quite easy to get everything inside.
I'm using the frame of my outdoor canopy in the 10ft x 10ft space. We're in the plaza of the sports stadium, so the booths are in short rows of four and back-to-back. One neighbour had just finished setting up when I arrived, and as you can see my other side neighbour and rear neighbour weren't in evidence yet... assuming those spots are used at all! I'm at the end of the section of the building, so they could be vacant.
It took about three hours to set up the booth. That included ironing some of the fabric 'walls' and coverings of the hanging boards and tables. Plus figuring out lighting took a while. When my iPod ran out of juice I knew it was time to go. Here's the booth ready for product.
This morning I'll be getting there early (carpooling with a couple of other artists as they are charging $10 a day for parking!) to put out the bags and make everything shipshape. Show hours today: noon to 8pm.

That is a huge pile of bags. Hope it was much smaller by the time you left? Wish I could be there to help.
