On Saturday I went up north to La Conner for the MoNA Style event. This annual fundraiser showcasing wearable art and art for the home is invitation-only and it was the fourth year taking part for Red Delicious.
I heard it raised a good amount for the Museum of Northwest Art -they take a percentage commission on all the artists' sales. It was also a success for Red Delicious, with a number of returning customers and a great response from those seeing my work for the first time.
This event is always hard work - it's a long day and a lot of effort, what with setting up and breaking down a good-sized booth, not to mention a steady flow of people through the day. But it's also always fun. The Museum had lots of friendly volunteers on hand to help with loading in and out and provided coffee and snacks for us.
And on the way home I was rewarded with some sunshine and the gorgeous scenery - including peeks at the snow-capped Cascades.
Next show: Best of the Northwest on March 14-16
